Our newest member Drew Baird was announced.  Doug stated NCSU and Drew have an interest to bring an Entrepreneurship program to ADHS.  Will ask Drew to highlight ideas at next meeting.

Principal’s Report:  Mr. Crockett

• January 25th is Mid-year graduation
• There are tentative plans for a Relay for Life to be held at ADHS
• New Graduation Requirements – Effective for Class of 2010
• The Graduation Project consists of a research paper, presentation, product and portfolio.  Students will select a path for their project in, or around the ninth grade.
• BA members eager to take active part in being a resource for the projects.

CDC Report: 
In memory of Jane Dodge, we will dedicate the CDC report to her.

Student Report:  Bradley and Atrin
Atrin gave an update on the student technology survey.  Students and Mr. Crockett to finalize survey and work with Mr. Parrish to determine a homeroom date to distribute the survey.

October Faculty Meeting:  Doug
Doug attended and spoke to music instructor about a performance piano and resource availability.  Since then, she has gotten a sizeable donation for the piano.
No BA attendees were present at the November or December faculty meetings.

Strategic Plan Mid year Review:  Team Leaders

• Career and Student Development  - We are anticipating the new ADHS CDC will assume the role of Team Leader for this group.  Joy and Charlie will update CDC upon announcement.
• Steering Team – Please review Alliance Handbook for next meeting as we will be updating.
• Communications – Finalizing Winter newsletter.
• Staff and Alliance Development – postponed until next month
• Technology – Doug and Dan Laffey continue to work to bring ADHS live on podcasting.  Doug will send some emails regarding update to links on BA website.  Mr. Crockett and Doug will touch base with WCPSS regarding wireless capability in the ADHS Library.  Doug will report on student Technology survey at MTAC meeting.
• Membership – Joy will be inviting Christie Eubanks to attend an upcoming meeting.  Christie has been involved with other Business Alliances.
