Work Team Breakout Sessions
Each team was asked to review original plans set at the beginning of the
year, identify those to be completed and those that may need to be dropped
or postponed until the next school year. Each group reported to the entire
group following their breakout sessions.
- Technology - Will be providing Website support
- Communications - Alliance Notes currently being developed. Will provide
information on the Alliance to be distributed on the ListServ and included
on the Alliance website.
- Career Development - Wants to begin the student survey program during
lunch periods.
- Staff Development - Tabling Train-the-Trainer-Training due to block
scheduling. Desire to have teachers participate in tours of Baldridge
organizations. Unfortunately teachers did not relate to the Baldridge
application in private business. Did visit a High School, but ineffective
due to small number of teacher participants. Requested time during March
Alliance meeting to cover Blackboard software. Also, will survey teachers
to identify needs.
- Membership - Will be meeting with potential financial member.
Next Alliance meeting will be held Friday, March 19th at Western
WakeMed, pending verification from Kelly.
