• School Announcements:
• Exams start May 31st, Juniors take 1 per day, Seniors take 2 per day to finish in time for Graduation
• Prom is May 12th at Exploris
• Graduation has a new venue and will be at the Memorial Auditorium
• Teacher Appreciation “Month” is in May, each week PTA provides an appreciation event for faculty
• Athletic Director position needs to be filled as Pat Hill is retiring
• District Announcements:
• NC Virtual Public High School – courses will be offered online, free of charge and will count toward their transcript.  Summer school courses are offered at $360 July 5th – Aug 6th.  This could impact the way lots of things are done!   

CDC Report:  Amy

• Xtreme Beginnings was held April 12th at the McKimmon Center from 9:15-12.  400 volunteers participated.  This event has gone from hosting 120 students to over 600 this year. 
• Sam, Kelly, Charlie and Kristy all participated in Xtreme Beginnings.
• There were 48 ADHS that participated at ADHS and the students Amy talked to so far gave good feedback about their experience, 2 ADHS students were offered jobs on the spot!  Amy thought ADHS students presented themselves in a very professional manner.
• ADHS taking 17 students to Open House at Wake Tech next month
• ADHS has 17 students going to Construction Day at the fairgrounds
• Amy’s goal is to have a small Career Fair At the end of May
• 2 ADHS Students received Parks Scholarships

Student Report:  Bradley updated us on the Technology survey distributed to students in grades 9-12; Doug, Bradley and Atrin will be compiling results.
