ADHS awarded certificates to Alliance Members for their participation during
the 2003-2004 school year.
Jane’s Highlights:
- Jane presented graduation gifts to Jeff Shepherd and Ashish
Naran, Alliance student members.
- Jane presented opportunity for businesses to sign up on F4K
to post present or future jobs within organizations (handout).
- Ligon Middle School Alliance representatives will be attending
September meeting. Their alliance focuses on rewarding teachers.
- A Music and Arts Career fair is being planned for the fall.
Don’s Highlights:
- Welcomes Jason Steele, Financial Planner and Charlie Nobles,
Progress Energy as new Alliance members.
- Teacher Summit
- Bringing Alliance members into schools
- Alliance members communicating directly with faculty
- Being able to determine teacher needs, clearing up some misconceptions
we may have had
- Futures for Kids
- ADHS has been a pilot school and has almost 400 students log
on to site
- Quick review of Team objectives
Technology Team update – Chris/Doug
The ADHS Website has a new look. Chris has revamped adding new, updated pictures
and new links. Wake Tech will be working with Chris to update Alliance page.
Presentation “Alliance Evaluation and Recommendations”
- Wayne Tindle
- Review of minutes and action registrars to look at background
and milestones.
- Evaluated current strengths and opportunities for improvement.
- Made several recommendations that the Steering team will look
at.
