Introduction of Student Members
The Business Alliance student members for this school year introduced
themselves to the group. Jenna, Syeda and Bradley told us a little about
themselves and what their future goals are.
Teacher/Alliance Project Update
Amy Walker gave an update of the Athens Drive HS Department Head/Alliance
Member teams. Teachers are requesting that the Alliance hold off just a
little bit until they get a few weeks into the new school year. Mike Cranford
and Gregory Poole teamed up with the Special Education Department and are
already involved in activities.
2004-2005 Alliance Meeting Schedule
Don Shupe reviewed the 2004-2005 meeting calendar and venues were set for all
remaining meetings.
CDC Review - Jane Dodge
- Reward/Recognition Programs for students and opportunities for sponsorship
- Monthly Career Development events, including Music/Performing Arts Career Fair
- ADHS Open House, Sept 2 nd - Alliance student members to have exhibit
- BELC Celebration, Tuesday Sept 14 th , 7:30-9:30am One Renaissance Center, RSVP to
mkirkpatrick1@wcpss.net by Sept 8th
- Volunteer Electronic Registration - Everyone, please take the time to register
at ADHS in the Media Center so you are eligible to volunteer , new this school
year in Wake County, everyone who works with students on a volunteer basis must be
registered
Teams broke out for 20-30 minutes to develop annual strategic plans. Strategic plans are
due at the next Alliance Meeting, Sept 17 th .
