Borrowing
Guidelines:
Checkout loan period for most books is 3 weeks.
New fiction titles generally circulate for 7 days. Reference books
may be borrowed on an overnight basis by Athens students only.
Renewing
is possible twice. Books on hold for other patrons or books
which are new or in heavy demand may not be available for renewal.
Holds can be placed on most new fiction items.
If the book you want is not available at your local branch, you
may want to reserve it. You will be notified when your book is available
for pickup.
Book
returns are possible at any Wake County library. Outside
book drops are available at all branches
Fine
for overdue books is 10 cents per day per item. The charge for lost
or damaged books is the replacement cost of the item.
Interlibrary
loan fines cost 25 cents per day with no fine limits. If the
book you want is not owned by our system, we may be able to borrow
it from another library.
